Set Up Data Log Information: Select Collection Interval & Type
This is one of a series of pages for setting up a data log. Changes are not saved until you click Finish on the last page in the series.
Confirm that the Selected Data Points contains the points you want included in the data log.
The Collection Interval is a number of minutes or hours you select. The selection is the amount of time between logged samples.
You can select one of two Data Collection types:
Scheduled Day and Time collects and stores as many samples as possible at the specified interval during the defined time period.
Fixed Number of Samples collects and stores data until the number of samples reaches the fixed number. Thereafter, each new sample replaces the oldest sample in the database. This is known as a "rolling window."
Complete the Start Date and Time and the End Date and Time as desired. If you leave the Start Date blank, the data collection will start immediately. If you leave the End Date and Time blank, the data collection will not stop without additional intervention.
